The Gonzaga Preparatory Parents have a powerful story to tell parents of prospective students.
Gonzaga Prep offers a challenging and supportive college preparatory environment that educates students according to the Gospel values of love and justice. As parents of current students and alumni, you are advocates of the fulfilling education grounded in Jesuit tradition provided by Gonzaga Prep. Your involvement with the Parent Ambassador Program will help prospective and new Gonzaga Prep families understand the value of a Gonzaga Prep education and will help them make decisions about their child’s education as well as connections with the Gonzaga Prep community.

PARENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAM PURPOSE

The Gonzaga Preparatory Parent Ambassador Program serves as a resource to welcome, recruit, support, and encourage parents and family members of prospective, new, and current Bullpups at Gonzaga Prep.

GOALS
Be representatives of Gonzaga Preparatory School to families of prospective and new students
» Meet or connect with prospective and new families at in-person events, via phone calls, email, and/or social media
» Make welcome calls/emails to the parents/guardians of newly admitted students
» Attend Gonzaga Prep events and be available to provide information and answer questions about attending Gonzaga Prep
» Share testimonials and positive Gonzaga Prep experiences at prospective family events or through the Gonzaga Prep website and/or viewbook
Build connections between Gonzaga Prep families and the Gonzaga Prep community
» Participate in Gonzaga Prep events as Parent Ambassadors to create visibility for the Gonzaga Prep parent community
» Host gatherings with families of current students
» Contribute to Gonzaga Prep communications (newsletters, website, social media)
» Encourage participation and volunteering at Gonzaga Prep events and activities by parents and families
» Participate in event/program planning and fundraising

REQUIREMENTS
» Be a parent or guardian of a current Gonzaga Prep student
» Believe that family support of Jesuit education enhances student success at Gonzaga Prep and beyond
» Complete Parent Ambassador training and any background checks/safe volunteer training required by Gonzaga Prep
» At minimum, attend quarterly meet-ups with Admissions and Advancement representatives to connect and learn ways to support.
» Commit to participating in at least two parent ambassador programs or activities per year
» Participation in the parent ambassador program will qualify for volunteer hours
» Be willing to speak to parents and families of prospective Gonzaga Prep students and share reasons why Gonzaga Prep is the best choice for your family/student
» Commit to at least one full year of participation in the Parent Ambassador Program to ensure its effectiveness
