Emmaus Fund

The Emmaus Fund is a permanently restricted endowment with the mission to enhance the ability of Gonzaga Preparatory School to educate and support the mental and emotional health of its students. The vision of the fund is to create a future in which all graduates are empowered to lead lives of vibrant health: mind, body, and spirit.

A recent study by the National Institute for Mental Health estimates that 1 out of 5 teenagers is experiencing, or will experience, a serious mental health condition. More than 50 percent of all lifetime cases of mental illness begin by age 14. Suicide rates for teens have increased by nearly 50 percent in the past ten years (nami.org).

Gonzaga Preparatory School meets its students at a critical moment in their lives, with a holistic mission that seeks to educate its students to vibrant health: mind, body, and spirit. Financial resources that are generated by the endowed fund will support the implementation of new programs that will support the mental health of students.
