Ways to Give

Gonzaga Prep relies on annual donations to enhance the Prep experience for every student. We invite all members of our community—alumni, friends, parents, faculty, staff, and grandparents—to come together with philanthropic support to continue to advance the transformational mission, vision, and values of the school. No matter the amount, every gift makes an impact.

Gonzaga Prep accepts gifts by postal mail, credit cards or DIRECT DEBIT SECURELY ONLINE, via stock or wire transfer or a donor-advised fund. Checks can be made out to Gonzaga Preparatory School and mailed to:

Make the most tax benefits and give appreciated stock to Gonzaga Prep to support our mission. It allows Gonzaga Prep to receive a larger gift than if it was sold by the owner and the proceeds donated to the school. In turn, you receive a greater tax deduction by giving stock directly to Gonzaga Prep.

If you would like to transfer stock or securities, we have an account at Morgan Stanley that will accept transfers. Questions can be directed there to Kevin West or Amelia O'Brien at 509.455.6096.

A donor advised fund (or DAF) might be a great solution for you. You can use a DAF to distribute gifts to numerous charities. With a DAF, you can make gifts to charity during your lifetime, and when you pass away, your children can carry on your legacy of giving.

Take advantage of tax incentives through contributions from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) or similar accounts to Gonzaga Prep. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions. Your gift will be put to use today, allowing you to see the difference it makes.

For more information, contact Corrina Kelsey, VP of Advancement at [email protected] or call 509.489.6302.

A gift of your life insurance policy is an excellent way to make a gift to Gonzaga Prep Foundation. If you have a life insurance policy that has outlasted its original purpose, consider making a gift of your insurance policy to Gonzaga Prep Foundation. For example, you may have purchased a policy to provide for minor children and they are now financially independent adults.

Include Gonzaga Prep in your estate plan and you’ll create a legacy that will further our mission and help secure the school’s future. These gifts change the lives of our students today and tomorrow. While you may think only a large gift will make a difference, even a small amount matters dearly to us. Join our Legacy Society today.

The Legacy Society at Gonzaga Preparatory School comprises people who have made a documented deferred gift (future gift) to the school. Begun in 1964 with a handful of individuals, this organization now includes more than 181 families, with documented deferred gifts totaling nearly five million.

Members of the Legacy Society include those who have committed to one or more of the following deferred gifts: bequest, charitable remainder trust, life insurance, gift of a residence or property with a retained life estate, or making Gonzaga Prep a beneficiary of a retirement account.

For more information about how to become a Legacy member or creative ways to give to Gonzaga Prep, visit gpreplegacy.com or contact Corrina Kelsey, VP of Advancement at [email protected].

Giving to Gonzaga Prep can be done either directly or though a gift model that can provide tax benefits and even income. Visit gpreplegacy.com to learn more about various ways you can support Gonzaga Prep.

Interested in making your gift have double the impact? Check with your employer to find out whether they match contributions to nonprofits. Matching gift programs are set up by companies and corporations as an employee benefit. After an employee donates to a nonprofit, they can submit a matching gift request to their employer and the company may make an additional donation.

For more information, contact Corrina Kelsey, VP of Advancement at [email protected] or call 509.489.6302.

The Corporate Companion and athletics sponsorship program provides the support necessary to fulfill the mission of the school while providing a business year-round visibility in the greater Prep community and alumni. LEARN MORE »

Gifts in-kind are generally non-cash donations of equipment or supplies that have been purchased by the donor and given to Gonzaga Prep to meet a specific purpose or need such as items for our Blue & White Ball.
Please contact Wendy Griffin to discuss gifs of in-kind donations.

Volunteering is more than a long-standing tradition at Gonzaga Prep — It is the embodiment of a core Jesuit value: To be men and women for others. You model our mission by living in service to others. Learn more about our program here.
