Sophomore Encounter

Hello Sophomore, Parents and Guardians,

The Office of Service and Justice and the Office of Equity and Inclusion are hosting the Sophomore Encounter on Friday, September 30th during the school day. Formerly known as the Sophomore Day of Service, this day will include: introducing the Jesuit call to living our faith in action, going out into the community to service sites to learn what amazing opportunities are available, reviewing the service graduation requirement, and participating in afternoon activities that remind them to encounter one another as “beautifully and wonderfully made” by God.

On that day from 9am to 11am all sophomores will be bused to a variety of potential service sites where they may later choose to fulfill their 40+ hours service graduation requirement.

We ask you complete the attached and linked permission form (either hard copy or digital copy) and return it by Friday, September 23:

  1. To the sophomore’s Christian Life or Health & Fitness teacher
  2. To the main school office
  3. To either the Service & Justice office or the Equity & Inclusion office
  4. Email a digitally signed copy to [email protected].com.
