Meet Admissions Director Katie O'Brien `03 and find out about the admissions process for Gonzaga Prep.

hi there my name is Katie O'Brien and I admissions director here at Gonzaga Prep and I am a little bit biased but I think I have the best job on campus Because I get to meet every student who walks through our doors and I'm really looking forward to getting to know some future bullpups out there we wanted to make you a short video go to help you understand a little bit of the admissions opportunities this year and to help you understand how to navigate the admissions process like many of you 20/20 has thrown up some curve balls and so we've made some adjustments to our typical admissions process and calendar to accommodate for that some ways that you can learn a little bit more about Gonzaga Prep this year we have some upcoming Open House events on Tuesday October 27th and Thursday October 29th opportunities for you to come and meet with faculty socially distance and masked and safe as well as learn more about the application and financial aid process here at Gonzaga Prep if you don't want to come in person that's fine we're also going to have a virtual self guided tour for you to learn more as well if you'd like to come and have an individual customized to her we can accommodate that an individual family Tour on Tuesday afternoons and on all day Thursdays and we'll have some webinars for you coming up in early November also help you learn a little bit more so stay tuned online sign up for mailing list so you can keep up-to-date on some of those options for all of those eighth graders and eighth grade family is out there we are looking forward to helping you through the admissions process this year we will have our online application is currently getting a facelift and will be available for you in early November in addition to the online application will have you submit your 7th and 8th grade transcripts and any standardized test that you have on file will also ask for a teacher evaluation to learn a little bit more about you in the classroom I'm like a previous years and students interested in attending for 9th grade next year will not be required to take a placement exam as part of the admissions process we have some limitations due to covid-19 Tav I determine how we can provide placement opportunities without the placement exam students will have the opportunity to test for honor's Assessments in the spring we help you stay in touch and I'll forward to helping you through the process we pride ourselves on having a personal education here at Gonzaga Prep and we hope that you feel that right from the get-go in the admissions process so if you have any questions at all please feel free to reach out to me and definitely sign up for a mailing so we can keep you updated thanks so much and we're looking forward to getting to know you
