Knowledge Bowl is COMPETITIVE academic trivia.  We practice each week on Wednesday in Room 46 during Community Period. Please see Mrs. League to get permission to join!

We participate locally in the Inland Empire Knowledge Bowl League (IEKB) which runs from October through February. This is similar to the GSL structure for sports but there are teams from both Washington and Idaho. Each school that participates usually has a Varsity and a JV team, but sometimes school KB programs (like Gonzaga Prep) are big enough to have 2 Varsity and 2 or more JV teams. Only the Varsity 1 team competes at Regionals. Regionals are in February and are typically run by the local Educational School District (in our case ESD 101 and hosted by Whitworth). The Washington State Tournament is in March and teams qualify through regional seeding according to WIAA classifications (in our case 4A). The State 3A/4A tournament is held in Wenatchee at Wenatchee High School.
