Gonzaga Prep's AMDG week opened with an inspired challenge by keynote speaker Erin Jones: "Hold your hands out like you're cupping water, if you've ever been to a stream. I want you to picture, in your hands right now, at least one thing you are really good at. Not great; you don't have to be the best. And I suspect you've got two, three, ten of those in your hands. I want you to picture those things. Here's what I've learned since I was a child. Being great is about using what's in your hands to the best of your ability."
Jones shared with students pivotal moments from her life, and how each was rooted in gratitude, courage, and love. She has spent more than 30 years in education as a teacher, instructional coach, school and state-level leader, consultant, author, and speaker, earning both state and national recognition for her work.
