Mass honors Native American Heritage Month

In November, the Prep community came together for a beautiful celebration of Native American Heritage Month, letting the culture, music, and language of the Coeur d’Alenes shape how we prayed. The rhythms and stories woven into the Mass reminded us of the many ways God moves through the traditions of Indigenous people.

We’re grateful to Fr. Peter Byrne, S.J. `61, Cece Curtis-Cook, tribal elder Cindy LeDeaux, members of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, the Rose Creek Drummers, and students from Prep’s Native American Club for sharing their gifts and helping us pray with deeper awareness and gratitude.
