Description
Gonzaga Prep is seeking to hire a varsity boys golf coach. Applications will be accepted until the role is filled.
Our mission is to educate men and women spiritually, intellectually, and physically. Each of our activities, including golf, is intended to teach sportsmanship, integrity, life lessons, and high achievement in the sport, as well as foster community.
The varsity head coach is responsible for carrying out the mission of the school. In addition to this, they are ultimately responsible for the boys' golf program and all aspects, including staffing of sub-varsity teams, finances, communication, summer programs, and program-wide player development.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching golf, preferably in a high school environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with students and adults.
- Responsible for the supervision of all students under their care, and ensuring that all players are properly and safely equipped for the sport.
- Understands and abides by all WIAA regulations, including coaching requirements, eligibility, and practices.
- Builds and maintains a successful program that garners both financial and community support and is respected by Gonzaga Prep and the community at large.
- Familiarity and understanding of Jesuit education.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Required to have or obtain a current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Successful Virtus (Diocese of Spokane - Code of Conduct Training), which includes WA State Patrol background clearance.
- Gonzaga Prep risk management compliance modules.
- Appropriate certifications as determined by the WIAA and Gonzaga Prep.
- Valid WA State driver’s license.
- Required to have or obtain a current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
