Gonzaga Prep has an immediate opening for a School Custodian.

The Custodian work shift starts in the afternoon and continues into the evening, leaving your mornings open and making it easier to go to school, pick up another part-time job, or take children to and from school!

School Custodian reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the cleanliness of assigned interior spaces. This person is an integral part of the School and is expected to maintain a respectful and cooperative relationship with students, faculty, staff, parents and vendors. Position is full time, 12 months per year. Shifts generally are 3 pm to 11:30 pm during the school year. Schedule may change in summer and on school holidays.

1. High School diploma or equivalent.

2. One year of experience in custodial position.

3. Satisfactory work record, including attendance and dependability, stability, and ability to establish effective relationships with other employees, students, faculty, administrators, parents and visitors to the School.

4. Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods; ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, bend, and move heavy objects; ability to operate power equipment, such as buffers or scrubbers; ability to climb ladders.
