Instrumental Middle and High School Teacher
Gonzaga Preparatory School seeks a full-time, certified high school instrumental music teacher. Applicants must be willing and able to teach within the context of Catholic Jesuit education. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

Preferred Characteristics of Applicants:
Possesses a bachelor's or master’s degree in instrumental music or a related field.
Possesses a WA-state high school teacher certification or being readily able to achieve one.
Has experience teaching instrumental music, directing a pep band and teaching guitar.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
Strong organizational skills which include: managing groups of students
Ability to work effectively with adolescents and staff at all levels, displaying a positive attitude, demonstrating presence and self-confidence, and exhibiting motivation and drive
Proven innovator, self-directed with demonstrated ability to assume responsibility, work independently, and move projects to completion with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 20 pounds, using proper lifting techniques
Ability to sit, stand, and/or move around the classroom as needed
Ability to safely and comfortably travel around our campus or to travel to middle schools
Ability to use a keyboard (or an alternative input device) and other office equipment
Ability to read information in printed material on a computer screen (often for extended periods of time) and/or on a mobile device/laptop
