President Al Falkner Announces Retirement for May 2017

Al Falkner's 42 years of service to the school have been in the role of teacher, coach, athletic director, principal, and for the last 12 years, president. From co-education to Fair Share to renewed facilities Gonzaga Prep has grown and changed since he started as a teacher in 1974. There is no doubt that Gonzaga Prep would not be the success story it is today without Al’s care and leadership. There will be many opportunities in the coming months for our community to thank Al for the many ways he has enriched our school and the lives of its students.

Presidential Search Committee has been formed and will work towards the goal of naming a new President by January 2017 for a starting date in July 2017. More information on the process can be found HERE.

“I look around and see a beautiful campus with students here that are challenged academically, spiritually and physically. They leave here prepared with a world-class education and a strong sense of service and justice, knowing that God is actively working in their lives. They understand what a great, loving, and Christian community can be. Their lives (as has mine) are forever changed. My dream has always been that all students in Spokane and North Idaho have this transformational Jesuit and Catholic experience!” - Al Falkner
