“The more we allow Jesus to break open our hearts and our minds and our spirits to receive the Holy Spirit, the more the heart of this community will be broken open and freely given.” Last week, Jesuits West Provincial Fr. Sean Carroll, S.J. presided over the traditional Mass of the Holy Spirit that blesses the school year ahead. Nine Jesuits from the Della Strada community concelebrated the special Mass, which had added significance as the Jesuits West Province affirmed Gonzaga Prep’s Catholic, Jesuit identity. The affirmation is the culmination of a sponsorship review conducted every 6 years.
