I'd like to welcome each and every one of you to the third annual financial aid luncheon Crystal like the three incredible students she will introduce and all of our students for that matter have been transformed by this place mind, body, and soul. All four are the embodiment of the profile of The Graduate, loving religious open to growth intellectually competent and committed to doing justice. Welcome Crystal Garcia, folks. All three of these amazing prep students represent us so well in our community and outside of it. They excel academically, athletically, and spiritually they're also featured in today's video ladies and gentlemen please enjoy. Only I know how many of them receive fanancial support to attend prep. 60% of them receive support 6 and 10 were helped by people like all of you so here's my call to action you are all good people. You have come to this luncheon knowing that you were going to be asked to support the students at prep. These great young people need you to do this. That alone should drive you to action that would make you a good person. I want you to think about being more than just a good person take that donation and stretch a little and make a bigger donation than you were thinking of. Go home feeling challenged and more importantly knowing that you'll accomplish something very important. important to Gonzaga Prep and are 865 more than just good students I guarantee you that you will feel Joy about what you have accomplished. You will see the results of your action every single day. Over his 13-year playing career Mike had a put out percentage of .3  for those who don't know that means it means. That means he threw out about a third of the people who tried to steal a base on him. That's a remarkable percentage it's still below his own thrown out percentage. I calculated the numbers Phyllis Bongers threw him out of Spanish at a slightly higher clip. Everybody's going to have their own path we've all taken it  but to start here at Prep is an amazing feeling.  I had great coaches great teachers I made a lot of great friends. I have a former classmate that's my dentist so it all comes in a circle to serve I try to think of a couple things that that I was able to use in my life today and that have got me to where I am today and I came up with two and  there are the pride of going to prep. The family aspect of Prep is probably what I love the most.  I know that when I moved here full-time in 2001 or is it 2000? Maybe can't remember. I wanted to raise our family here. I wanted to raise our kids here. I thank my wife for allowing me to be able to move back here. She was from Florida. So, it was not easy transition for her but we did it. I thought it was important we moved from the valley out to the hangman area and we enrolled our kids into All-Saints it's probably the best move we ever made I feel so blessed like a lot of us to be able to do what I've done for so long. I thank you all for that. I'm a leave you with this I know I've got a little bit emotional but it's all part of it. Every night I get a little bit of time to reflect on a lot of different things with my job  during that anthem I get a chance to say a prayer and I thank God for the gifts he's giving me to be able to go out there every night and do what I love for my friends and most importantly thanking me for being a Bullpup.
