DENISE SCHLEPP was a pioneer for women\'s athletics at Gonzaga Prep. Hired to teach P.E. after Prep went co-ed, she coached for 36 years in almost every sport and inspired innumerable student-athletes to pursue excellence and leadership. Her true legacy is found in her ability to make kids feel loved and accepted exactly as they are. She embodies cura personalis. Denise believed in the potential of each student and helped them to believe in their own ability to change the world for the better.

people will forget what you said people will forget what you did but people will never forget how you made them feel finish lap Tire prep for 37 years and always made her students feel special every one of us thought we were favorite interface with something that we all knew was important to her she Incorporated and exemplified Christian values in her life she made it cool to be Christian and do you stick with you more when your coach loves them Denise with a pioneer for women's Athletics at Gonzaga Prep she coached 36 seasons and spent thousands of hours on the practice fields and then the gym inspiring countless Dune athletes much of the time coaching the fall winter and spring season over her career she served as head coach and girl basketball softball soccer volleyball and Tennis she was the first girls soccer coach at prep winning GSL titles in her first two seasons in 2019 but Denise slept leadership award was established every year it honors the multi sports team athlete in the senior class who demonstrates high moral standards outstanding leadership Cura personalis and a commitment to Athletics all things Denise model throughout her Unforgettable career schlepps True Legacy will be that she made kids fee loved and accepted exactly how they are without judgement High School's a critical time in every since development for me I was best described during my time at prep as awkward and not very popular schlep always had a way of making me feel she taught me that my voice mattered finish lap and bodies the concept of cura personalis she cares about all of us as people as a whole person and she inspired countless students just like me to look to the stars and a the very best that we are capable of and now it is my distinct honor to welcome Denise schlep to the Gonzaga Prep Hall of Fame congrats coach
