hi my name is Joel Trainor and I'm the World Language Department are here at Gonzaga Prep I've been teaching Spanish here since 2010 I'm also a mom of a current Junior at Gonzaga Prep we offer classes in Latin French and Spanish first through fourth years our goal is to help our students become Global Citizens with an appreciation and curiosity about the diverse cultures of our world our language does it expose our students to the different products doesn't perspectives of people from countries that span the globe are Latin classes teach students to not only read the classics but understand civilizations from 2000 years ago and how related they are to our civilizations today learning another language really teaches our students about how people are connected furthermore we offer several College in the high school classes through all three languages through a partnership with Gonzaga University your student can earn college credits meeting their language requirements right here at Gonzaga Prep every few years we plan an educational tour to a different country to help our students learn about first-hand what we've been practicing and doing in our classes in past several years we've taken Fin Fun tours to Ecuador Costa Rica France Italy and Spain we are so excited for you to join us on your language Journey here at 9 cigarettes
