Family and former players of coaching legend Don Anderson gathered on the 50-yard line of Bullpup Stadium during halftime of the varsity football game vs. Lewis and Clark in Oct. 15. Ron Hawkins, quarterback of the `86 state championship team offered heartfelt words for the impact coach Anderson had on those who played for him. Anderson’s children, Tod and Linda, were presented with a commemorative framed photo and Bullpup gear to proudly show off their Bullpup Spirit. Thank you to all who attended!
Coach Don Anderson passed away in late 2019. He coached the Bullpups for 23 seasons with a record of 195-53-3, winning 15 GSL titles at Gonzaga Prep, making five state final appearances (1966, ‘82, ‘85, ‘86, 87), and won King Bowl titles in ‘82 and ‘86. Don was inducted into Gonzaga Prep’s Hall of Fame in 2016.
