Prep Alum & Dickens Scholar Honored by the QueenPrep alum Dr. Paul Schlicke(`61) has been invited to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens at a reception given by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. Dr. Schlicke, who has served as Chair of the Dickens Museum in London, is the author of Dickens & Popular Entertainment and editor of The Oxford Companion to Charles Dickens. Baseball Coach Inducted into Hall of Fame(Spokane, WA) Gonzaga Preparatory School is pleased to announce that Brian Munhall, Varsity Baseball Coach, will be inducted to the Washington State American Legion Baseball Hall of Fame on November 3, 2012. Brian has been coaching baseball for years and at Gonzaga Prep for the past 4 years. American Legion Baseball has a rich history in Washington State stretching back to 1928. Over those 85 years thousands of young men have competed in summer baseball and many of them learned skills that propelled them into becoming leaders in professional sports, business, education, government and the private sector. The fundamental goal of the American Legion Baseball program is to teach all involved about the importance of becoming good citizens and to develop life skills. The ceremony and induction will take place in Seattle on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Senior Pianist Places 2nd in StateSenior Angela Lee competed in the State Solo & Ensemble Competition, a WIAA competition, (April 27th).
