Advanced Placement passing rate in 2012 was 75%

Philip Thompson received a perfect score on the National Latin Exam

Knowledge Bowl placed 1st in the GSL 4A Division and 3rd in the State Competition

Destination Imagination Team won 1st place at Regionals and the Renaissance Award for their Rube Goldberg and their musical.  The team placed 2nd in State and earned the DaVinci Award for technical and mechanical aspects of their Rube Goldberg.

Debate Team placed 1st in GSL & in Eastern Washington

Each year the Food Drive collects 100,000 pounds of food, which is delivered to 200 needy families in addition to Second Harvest Food Bank, the Spokane and Colville Native American Tribes, Morning Star Baptist Church, local parishes (Mary Queen Parish, St. Francis Xavier Parish and St. Thomas More Parish), Women and Children’s Free Restaurant, Our Place, and Guse Summit View Apartments.  These members of the Class of 2013 have served on the Food Drive Committee for three years:

During the summer of 2012, two of our students traveled to another country to serve.  Onew Angela Lee went to Cambodia to teach English to small children at the Hosanna School in Phnom Phen.  Miriam Weeks volunteered at Familias de Esperanza, an organization that rescues families of Maestria, Mexico; a community that is built on a dump.  Miriam worked in a daycare and in the water distribution center.

 

In January 2013, eight members of St. Aloysius Parish and two Gonzaga Prep students, Luis Perez and Josue Torres, traveled to El Salvador as part of the parish’s Sister Relationship with the Christian Base Communities, located in the Bajo Lempa region.
