not because they are wanting to be an astronaut ever since I was born best way to adjust the trajectory a long trajectory is right at the base right at the beginning and prep was that way it was that influencing Factor very early on in my trajectory because that challenge is one that we're willing to wait one we are on willing to postpone and one we intend to win my name is Anne McClain and I'm a I'm currently a NASA Astronaut training in Star City Russia just outside of Moscow for my first space flight which will be in November of this year Gonzaga Prep because it's easy to accept to be flexible to listen as a recognize the connection between Liberty and spiritual growth my time at prep really influenced where I went and that it really showed me that how I live my life was just as important if not more than what I did we don't choose to commit to Jess this because it's easy because Ron willing to postpone compassion to be people for others the biggest thing that I learned today is not what you get but it's what you can give we wanted to give more than you take you don't even when we have nothing in our lives we can still give to other people through our confidence and then there are words to them or appreciations growing up that dresser tradition it really taught me to be a person for others we don't choose to be loving because it's easy but because we learn to accept others as they are develop empathy for the better I remember going on a search weekend and of course about giving too much away I remember one of the vent where I distinctly and I quickly realized that people a lot of people didn't notice me they did care about me and that I'm not I wasn't invisible like we saw Fairfield High School the top me that each person is inherently were they important and how we do life is so much more important than what we do we set sail on this new sea a new rides to be one and they must be one and used all the progress of all people on the walls of crap that I just remember I can still see the ? and where was hanging and it said if not you been to and if not now then when I really take that to heart you know it seems so hard to become an astronaut or professional sports player or Congressman of the priest but but you look around if it's not going to be you then who's it going to be every future president is sitting in high school right now today's date the moon the planets were there a new hopes for knowledge and peace are there a space station what do I can't come home in person for a little while I know that when you look up I'll be flying over you over course of 6 months over 2,000 times so look up into the night sky and therefore as we set sail ask God's blessing on the most hazardous and dangerous and Greatest Adventure on which man has ever embarked
