After 43 years of service to Gonzaga Prep, in June of 2017, Al Falkner retired.

congratulations I'll thanks a lot for all of your hard work solutely when can I put you down to come volunteer and tutor in the lab can graduations congratulations and thank you mr. Falker thank you everything you've done oh you meant so much to the Jesuits in the Jeep prep Community absolutely thank you for decades of support all happy retirement campus ministry nicely done enjoy the next phase in your life now we are going to miss you desperately the school will not be the same without you thank you for your years of guidance and vision and we know you'll be around so don't be a stranger if you all take care and thank you for everything  that did not look it up Dallas Legacy is just a long history of of commitment and dedication chickens at your prep Faulkner is a person for others I'll fall carezone leader I'll Faulkner is Gonzaga Prep wow Faulkner  is why it's hard to put in one where I shall Focus ain't really in terms of Gonzaga Prep and what he means to Gonzaga he lives change with education and models it for us every day and really gives us something to Aspire to in the way we do our jobs we wouldn't be where we are now without somebody like out I was everywhere that's what I'm going to miss L is everywhere and in everything  well spent a part of her share since the very I do believe that in the last ten to fifteen years of the reason fair share is successful is because of Al is probably greatest gift he's given to second prep is the creation of fair share and the financial stability of the school Fair shows made the school accessible to anybody who wants to go here and I have so many people I talk to who aren't you within the Gonzaga Prep Community don't understand that and don't understand the the quality of that the thinking oh it's this is just a school welcyon that's not even close it's the school for anybody who wants to go here and if it wasn't for how we wouldn't have that program I can't tell you how many times he said yes families and you know how many lives that's impacted not just the kids who go here but the families who send kids here and that's a huge Legacy I mean there's got to be thousands of kids and thousands of family members who just because Al has said yes it's changed their lives tangible words how I feel about how I when I came here as a young person who he mentored me and many ways and to watch see what what he's brought to the school it's been a challenge to each and everyone of us in terms of our own person and terms of what we were willing to give to the school every home game talking opens the chapel and  it's amazing the Reedy gets on our kids and what it's just a special I think it's special for owl to see that kiss shot living up the mission of Gonzaga Prep is being lived within his school that he loves and he gets to see that and live that and I think it's very enlightening to me also very reassuring to me that he doesn't take it for granted it's a humble reminder of why we're doing what we do how I wish for you the very best I wish for you to visit every Major League radium in the United States to Cannon your retirement I want a selfie from each of them as a student to working with you play enjoyed enjoyed that you for taking an interest in everything that I do and that we do here at Gonzaga Prep only what we do in the classroom but what we do outside the classroom and also thank you for all the support that you've given us into chili as well as our families without you I know for fact that many of us would not be here including myself and you have made this place so much better than was before you entered the doors and I can't thank you enough for everything for all you do for the kids for the faculty of the staff thanks again all you do for Gonzaga Prep and have done and continue to do you are true blessing and a true  st2000 love you all thanks for everything thanks for so many years of friendship and especially for your companionship in Mission I will miss the time that we spent together road trips our weekly meetings all of our stops is Subway and especially seeing you on a daily basis L thanks for all your leadership Aldi Garrison congratulations on your retirement enjoy from the treasurer's office on behalf of the office staff congratulations at office baby goodbye
