Athletic & Fitness Facilities Renewal Campaign

Since 1999, Gonzaga Prep has been able to completely remodel its entire campus, inside and out, with the exception of one area – the locker rooms and surrounding support areas. We need to meet the needs of 2017!

As a Health/Fitness teacher at Gonzaga Prep for 36 years, I have witnessed most of our school become revitalized with updates. With this athletic facility renovation, not only will our students feel pride about where they spend time preparing for class and/or athletics, the locker room will better serve our students and their needs as well as the needs of coaches and guests.

The proposed plan will provide the best locker room space for our student athletes. The fitness center and athletic training center will give student athletes access to the best possible facilities for training, conditioning, and for injury rehabilitation.  What better way to insure care and commitment for our students than to provide them with the structural resources to maintain excellent health and wellness.

“Gonzaga Prep teams have been very successful with facilities that were designed for the demands of student-athletes 60 years ago. Just imagine what we will be able to do with facilities that are intentionally designed for the needs of today’s Bullpups.”

– DAVE MCKENNA`88
FACULTY, FOOTBALL COACH

“The turf on the football field is now 12 years old. We were able to get a couple extra years out of it, but it is deteriorating at a fast rate. The replacement turf will provide our teams and PE classes with a renewed surface that will address the need for improved play-ability and safety. Our gyms have served us well for many years, but the design and construction make it challenging to meet the needs of our groups.  The new design will be more efficient for our students’ schedules and allows us to utilize spaces simultaneously.”

“If we can raise this money by this March we can start construction and have everything in place for our students by November of 2017.  It is an aggressive schedule, but I believe that the cause is right and the project is necessary for the next 100 years of Prep’s great and storied history.”

“My dad, Tim`63, used the very same locker rooms and athletic facilities at
Gonzaga Prep that my brother
Jamie`97,
sister Stephanie`85,
wife
Lisa`90 and I
used while we were at Prep.

With my daughter Abigail`19
now using the VERY SAME
gym and locker rooms,
I am happy to be a part of
this effort to enlarge,
remodel and enhance the
full scope of athletic facilities
available at Gonzaga Prep.

With your help, my son,
Braeden`21, and all future Bullpups will enjoy state-of-the-art facilities
for years to come.”
